How It Works

InGenerosity is simple to use and simple to understand. Our service will automatically choose and deliver your gifts without you having to do another thing. Of course, before each gift is sent you will receive an email which will allow you to intervene and cancel that particular gift, or choose among provided alternatives. The service costs you nothing until a gift is actually sent, and can be cancelled at any time. Gift-giving has never been easier or more reliable! We think you’ll agree we beat “the mall”, and sure beat fighting traffic!
The steps and features of InGenerosity are explained below.

1. Sign Up

First, you create your own account on InGenerosity.com. Fill out your name, address, email, etc. and save it in our system. After you enter your information, you will be asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions of Payment for this service. These terms are what makes this service so easy for the person on-the-go – automatic credit card payment.

The auto credit card charge takes the hassle away and saves tons of time. It also ensures that your card will be charged no more than the price range that you chose for each of your gift recipients, each time a gift is sent out. No muss, no fuss.

2. Enter Recipient Information

Once your credit card information is submitted and approved, you can begin entering your gift recipients. Your mother, co-workers, nephew, anyone who you want to give a gift but can never remember it on time.

InGenerosity remembers it for you, every time. Fill out their address, date of birth, gender, and their relationship to you. After you submit that information, you can choose the occasions on which you would like to give gifts to each of them. Valentine’s and a custom anniversary date for your wife, Christmas and a birthday for your niece, etc. You may also choose to type a personalized message to each recipient for each occasion. Again, always personal.

From here, you will also be asked which gift category and what price range for each recipient. This will tell us what kinds of gifts to send to your recipients, and how much you want to spend.

3. How Gifts Are Selected

From the information you have entered, InGenerosity knows that a gift from a chosen category and in a certain price range is to be sent to your recipient on a specific date. The specialty vendor who handles that gift category is informed of this in advance, along with your recipient’s age and gender. The vendor then selects an appropriate gift based upon the vendor’s substantial experience in the area.

4. What Happens After Gift Selection

Once the vendor has selected a gift, you are then sent an email telling you what has been chosen. If you are busy, or just satisfied with the selection, you need do nothing. The gift will be wrapped and sent to arrive on time. On the other hand, you may choose among two alternatives that are also provided in the email. You can also choose for that event to not send a gift. That same email tells you the cost of the gift, including shipping & handling, and including InGenerosity’s fee of 5 % per gift (minimum $2).

5. Making Changes In Your Account

At any time, you may change any of your recipient’s information, including changes in address, adding or deleting gift events, or changing categories or price ranges for gifts.

6. Reviewing Your Account

InGenerosity keeps a history of every gift we send on your behalf. You can look up and see what you got someone for Christmas last year or the year before, or any other information about your gift-giving you would like to see.
